Unrelated to everything ever.

Because I just saw Toy Story 3. That's all.

I know he looks ferocious, but trust me, he's a sweetheart.

His name is Worf. Don't look at me like that!

(Also, you are powerless to resist the allure of my sweaty raptorface and my messy hair.)

I am in SPAIN at El Cortes Ingles, which is sort of like Macy's if it took over Target and Walmart and made everything pretty upscale.

SHOPPING, BEING SURE I AM SELECTING THE RIGHT NEW FRIEND.

DECISION IS MADE.

Me and Judy!

THIS IS ME AND JUDY.

Judy was from a little kit that my aunt bought and made for my mom. She gave it to her during the babyshower from when mom was pregnant with me. THIS DOLL IS NEARLY 22 YEARS OLD, OLDER THAN ME.

Her funky eye is from when she ripped when I was eight and I refused to let anyone to patch her for me. As you can see, I had mad skillz back in the day. Also, she is very dirty, but I am too afraid to wash her because I worry she'll fall apart.

Also, excuse my hair/sweaty face/lack of bra. It's hot up in here, yo.

*high five for old stuffed animals!*

AND YES SHE IS. She's 'Friend Bear'. Her hobbies include swinging, painting rainbows, and waving at flowers.

Also, WHATEVER HOR. I'LL WEAR CLOTHES WHEN I WANNA WEAR CLOTHES.

omgOMG I HAD ONE OF THOSE, TOO!!! :D

Now, I'm wondering where she went... *has seen TS3 twice now and feels SUPER GUILTY*

[identity profile] lordofsherwood.livejournal.com 2010-07-12 07:18 pm (UTC)(link)
This took a ridiculously long time, since I was too lazy to install my camera software on my computer and Windows's insta-program didn't let me choose the last two pictures on my memory card, instead importing all 685 photos and videos... *facepalm*

ANYWAY. :D I have something of an old gang who mostly live on the windowseat in my bedroom, except for the few who now room with my daughter. (Some of them are just too fragile anymore.) Terry, the doll who's second from the left, and the Care Bear who's second from the right, were both crocheted by my grandma. Somewhere, I think in my parents' attic, is a four-foot-long Pink Panther she made me c. 1981.

But, my two bestest friends are Buddy and Russ. I got Buddy when I was a year old, so he's thirty now, and he'll still play "Talk to the Animals" if you wind the key on his butt! Russ came along two years later, making him twenty-eight, and you can still see his original sunny yellow color if you peek under the neck of his nightie. :D

I'm very sentimental and a sap, what can I say? ;)

Aww! Cute! I love the crocheted Care Bear.

I have a lot more stuffed animals in my mom's closet, because I couldn't bear to give them up, but I just don't have room for them at the moment. I figure when I have kids I'll break them out again.

You know, it's funny; the critters my grandma made are sturdier than some of the store=bought ones. That Care Bear is one of the ones my daughter plays with now. :) And I actually have a couple of bags of stuffed critters in my basement, waiting for me to go through them. But other than that, my mom did a lot of cleaning out a handful of years ago, and donated most of what was left in her house...

...juuust in time for me to get pregnant with the first grandbaby. Timing: it's EVERYTHING, lmao. :D
